Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Developer with strong expertise in
ABAP on S/4HANA and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). The role involves
designing and developing scalable, clean-corecompliant applications and integrating
them with SAP Fiori Elements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications using ABAP RAP (Managed & Unmanaged
scenarios)
- Create and enhance CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption) with
annotations
- Develop Behavior Definitions and Implementations
- Build and expose OData V4 services using RAP
- Implement validations, determinations, actions, and authorization objects
- Work extensively with ABAP OO and modern ABAP syntax
- Integrate backend services with SAP Fiori Elements
- Optimize performance using CDS Views, Open SQL, and AMDP
- Debug, enhance, and refactor existing S/4HANA applications
- Collaborate with functional consultants and UI teams
- Follow Clean Core principles and SAP best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development
- Strong hands-on experience with ABAP on S/4HANA
- Proven expertise in RAP Framework
- In-depth knowledge of CDS Views and Annotations
- Experience with OData V4 services
- Solid understanding of ABAP OO concepts
- Strong knowledge of Open SQL / SQL performance tuning
- Experience integrating RAP services with SAP Fiori Elements
Good to Have
- Exposure to SAP BTP ABAP Environment
- Knowledge of AMDP, EML, and RAP extensibility
- Experience with Eclipse / ADT
- Understanding of S/4HANA extensibility and Clean Core strategy
