About the Role
We are looking for a Frontend Lead who can combine strong hands-on development expertise with team leadership capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable frontend applications while mentoring developers, driving engineering best practices, and collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams.
The position is a mix of Individual Contributor (IC) and Team Lead responsibilities, requiring active participation in architecture, coding, code reviews, delivery planning, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of modern web and mobile applications using ReactJS, Angular, and React Native.
- Actively contribute to coding, debugging, optimization, and implementation of frontend features.
- Mentor and guide frontend developers through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Define frontend architecture, component libraries, coding standards, and development processes.
- Drive technical excellence, performance optimization, security, accessibility, and responsive design standards.
- Manage sprint planning, task allocation, and delivery tracking for frontend initiatives.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and technical evaluation of frontend engineers.
- Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and recommend improvements to the engineering ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development.
- Strong expertise in ReactJS and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Good experience with Angular framework.
- Hands-on experience developing mobile applications using React Native.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with state management solutions such as Redux, Context API, NgRx, or similar.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and working with modern frontend architectures.
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization and application scalability.
- Experience with Git and modern CI/CD practices.
- Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience with Next.js or similar SSR frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience building reusable design systems and component libraries.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
